Retrieving Freedom
The mission of Retrieving Freedom, Inc. is to change lives through the training and placement of Service Dogs for Veterans with disabilities and children with autism.
Meet one of the dogs with their trainer and learn about this amazing program!
Back to School Day
Experience what school was like in the early 1900s. play the games that kids enjoyed. This is a free family event. a light lunch of Pulled Pork sandwich and chips will be available for $5.
Thursdays on Main in Clear Lake
the kinney pioneer museum will be handling the children’s activities in city park. we’ll play Jacks, graces and shooting marbles, as well as gunny sack and 3-legged races. meet you at the lake for an evening of fun.
Car Show
Vintage autos on display. Pick your favorite Best in Show, music, Food Trucks. Rememer to look at the vintage autos inside the museum as well.
All auto years are welcome!

Band Festival Day
Look for our KPM float at the North Iowa Band Festival, then join us at the museum for a day of history exploration.
John Kopecky Day
Visit the KPM to get a sneak peak of KPM’s newest exhibit featuring John Kopecky, creator of the North Iowa Band Festival.
Antique Tractor Day & BBQ Pork Dinner
This will be KPM’s first big event of the season. View antique tractors, visit with their owners, tour the museum - especially our large Ag Barn - and enjoy our special Conestoga dinner of barbeque pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans beginning at 11 a.m. until gone. For kid’s enjoyment the KPM is teaming up with the North Iowa Event Center to bring the Little Farmers hands-on display to our museum for the day.
Gate admission is FREE. Conestoga dinner cost is $10 or $5 for members.
Antique Tractor Ride
The weekend will begin with a 43-mile parade of vintage tractors. The tractors will start out at the Kinney Pioneer Museum, travel to Manly and follow the route of the old Jefferson Highway into Mason City. After a lunch break at Fox Auction Company the tractors will head back to the museum where they will be displayed on KPM grounds for viewing the following day.
