Founded in 1968, the Kinney Pioneer Museum, located near the Mason City Municipal Airport offers visitors a taste of true pioneer life and the history of our community. These collections include impressive recreations of multiple different settings of daily life, put together with painstaking historical accuracy. Run by a variety of volunteers, many of whom hold seats on the museum board. Kinney Pioneer Museum provides group tours led by passionate and well informed docents, and maintains a signature sense of Midwestern hospitality, all at a $3 admission and $1 for kids.
